Past July Online Get-Together - A matter of trust: Building connections, building bridges

Following on from our June discussion about Community‑led vs Community‑centered, In July, we then continued the conversation on the role of trust in building lasting, meaningful connections.

Together, we explored how trust formed the foundation for strong community connections—and how those connections became bridges toward collective action, shared leadership, and mutual care.

That session invited us to reflect on:

  • What trust looked like in community‑led spaces.

  • How we built and sustained it across different lived experiences and power dynamics.

  • The kinds of bridges that trust could build—across identities, cultures, and by uprooting colonial legacies.

The session brought us together to listen, share, and unpack what it took to grow relationships and connections that were rooted in reciprocity, accountability, and care.
