1. Introduction The DisasterWISE platform (www.disasterwise.com.au) was been developed under the Fire to Flourish program, hosted by the Monash Sustainable Development Institute in Clayton, Victoria. For any inquiries, DisasterWISE can be contacted at connect@disasterwise.com.au.
These Terms of Use govern the access and use of the Website by any individual or entity (the "User"). By accessing or using the Website, the User agrees to be bound by these Terms of Use, along with the DisasterWISE Privacy Policy.
2. Permitted Use DisasterWISE provides this Website as a resource to support stakeholders engaged in community-led disaster resilience, research, policy, and practice. Users confirm they have the necessary rights to publish any content they upload and consent to its public availability on the Website. Any activity that limits, impairs, or disrupts the availability or quality of these resources is strictly prohibited. DisasterWISE reserves the right to take appropriate measures to enforce compliance with this policy.
3. Assumption of Risk & Disclaimer of Warranties DisasterWISE does not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or appropriateness of any User-generated content. The User acknowledges that DisasterWISE assumes no responsibility for reviewing, monitoring, or moderating User-generated content. The Website is provided "as is" without any express or implied warranties, including but not limited to the security, timeliness, uninterrupted access, or error-free operation of the Website. Users access and download any data or information from the Website at their own risk, and DisasterWISE is not liable for any data loss, damage, or other consequences arising from such actions.
4. Website Content Ownership DisasterWISE retains full proprietary rights over all Website content not created by Users. For formally published articles in peer-reviewed journals, Users must cite the article according to the suggested citation provided within the publication. Please note that DisasterWISE articles and case studies often reflect, but may not be identical to, the original text of an uploaded publication. Users should refer to the original publication when quoting text.
6. Third-Party Content & External Links DisasterWISE is not responsible for the content of any external websites that may be accessible via links on this Website. Users access external sites at their own risk, and DisasterWISE expressly disclaims liability for any content, policies, or practices associated with third-party websites.
7. Linking to the Website Users may link to www.disasterwise.com.au provided that the link is fair, not misleading, and clearly identifies the DisasterWISE Website. Users may not frame, replicate, or integrate DisasterWISE content in a manner that misrepresents its origin or ownership.

Organizational References References to "DisasterWISE," "group," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the DisasterWISE working group, which is currently supported by the Fire to Flourish program within the Monash Sustainable Development Institute. Fire to Flourish is funded by Monash University, Monash Sustainable Development Institute, The Paul Ramsay Foundation, and Metal Manufactures Pty. Ltd.
10. Amendments to These Terms DisasterWISE reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Continued use of the Website following any updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
