This document outlines the background of the Clifton Creek community, the impact of the Black Summer Fires, the recovery process and the transition towards the future once the community recovery committee stepped back and the community transitioned to the new normal. Significant efforts were made to ensure all voices in the community were heard including ‘kitchen table” conversations to hear from those whose voices may have otherwise been missed.  The transition from a recovery group isn’t often documented and this can serve as a great model to be replicated by other communities.
