<p>Hello DisasterWISE Community :) just stumbled across this AIDR/Red Cross Webinar on “Putting ‘community’ in community recovery committee” – Malcolm from Strathewen is the first speaker and he highlights some incredibly valuable take-aways from the experience of Strathewen’s community-led recovery post Black Saturday. Some insights include; democratic approaches to committee nominations, defining community and membership, the power of connection in overcoming obstacles, long term recovery and reimaging futures. Well worth the watch when thinking about processes, community agency and action!</p>
